Station buildings offer wonderful spaces for poster displays and exhibitions.  Following on from the ‘New Views of the Darent Valley’ exhibition at Bat & Ball station in 2023, we are excited that a selection of the photos are now on display at Otford station.

In a collaboration with Sevenoaks Camera Club we enabled a photography exhibition on 13/14 May 2023, ‘New Views of the Darent Valley’, celebrating images of the Darent Valley taken over the previous year by the hugely talented members of the Sevenoaks Camera Club, a great success.

The collaboration was nominated for a Community Rail Network Award in December 2023, an accolade in itself!  The photos have now been put up in the waiting room at Otford station for all to enjoy.  We  invited members of the Otford community to submit their photos for future displays and were very pleased to welcome a group of photographers from West Kent MIND to co-exhibit.  This was a group of people taking part in a six-month photography course with local photographer Jane Mucklow, a huge success for everyone taking part.  

Also – funding permitting – we will have a celebration of the fabulous artists who have painted, created, printed railway posters over the years.
