Chorus for Change

Welcome to the Chorus for Change (GTR Choir) page. First of all, thank you so much for agreeing to take part (and do feel free to take part if this is the first time you have heard about this event!). The Chorus for Change choir will be an amazing coming-together of community choirs and individuals from right across the Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) network, including people from St Albans and Bedford, from the Cambridge area, Brighton and near Sevenoaks and Swanley.

The mass choir performance will take place at London Kings Cross at 12 noon on 7 March 2026, with a rehearsal beforehand at 11am. Details will be sent to all participating groups closer to the date.

GTR works closely with the mental health charity Mind, and this mass choir celebrates the huge benefits of singing for positive mental health. And as so often stated in medical studies, belting out a tune in a choir can enhance your mood, your immune system, your blood pressure, and reduce feelings of chronic pain!
We have invited community choir groups and participating individuals to download the guide tracks, sheet music and lyrics to work on over the next couple of months before all coming together on the day to sing as a mass choir.

For the guide tracks to the nine minute medley and to the standalone song

Thank you again for taking part. If you have any questions please get in touch with the Darent Valley Community Rail Partnership rail officer Sarah Newman (sarah.newman@sevenoaks.gov.uk) or Patrick Ladbury at GTR (patrick.ladbury@gtrailway.com).
